What does Ronald McDonald House Charities® do?

When a child is seriously ill, having their family close can make an overwhelming experience feel a little less frightening. Ronald McDonald House Charities® helps keep families close when it matters most.

RMHC provides accommodation, care, and support for families of seriously ill children, offering a warm, safe “home-away-from-home” where parents and siblings can cook, sleep, and spend time together while remaining just moments away from their child in hospital.

How does McDonald’s help our charity partner?

McDonald’s is proud to be the largest corporate supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities® Ireland. Through a range of fundraising initiatives including Round-Up, Coin Collection, and the Santa Hat Campaign, McDonald’s customers helped raise an incredible €814,049.59 in 2024, contributing to more than €11 million raised over the past 21 years.

This vital support helps RMHC continue its essential work for families across Ireland, and we are so grateful to our generous franchisees and customers who make it possible.

Ronald McDonald House Charities® do amazing work

When a child is seriously ill, every moment matters and no parent should have to face that journey alone. Ronald McDonald House Charities® provides comfort, stability, and a sense of home to families staying close to their child at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin.

This incredible support is made possible entirely through your generosity. Every act of kindness, every euro dropped into a collection box, every Round-Up donation, every contribution from McDonald’s customers and friends of the charity helps keep families together when they need it most.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us bring hope, comfort, and care to families during their toughest days. Your support does make a difference.
