McCafé Loyalty FAQs

Your McCafé loyalty card has movied from cups to the McDonald’s App. Here’s what’s changed, what stays the same, and how you can keep collecting stamps towards your free hot drink.

What is McCafé Loyalty?

McCafé Loyalty is our way of saying thanks to customers who love McDonald’s coffee. Buy eligible McCafé hot drinks, collect stamps, and enjoy a free hot drink when your card is complete.

Has McCafé Loyalty ended?

No, McCafé Loyalty hasn’t ended — it has moved to the McDonald’s App. From 8 September 2026, you now collect McCafé stamps digitally instead of collecting stickers from cups.

When did McCafé Loyalty move fully to the App?

McCafé Loyalty went fully digital from 30 September 2026. The collection and use of any physical stickers on the cup-based scheme has now ended.

What’s changed?

Instead of keeping hold of paper stickers, your McCafé stamps now live in the McDonald’s App within the ‘Offers’ section. That means they’re all in one place, easy to track, and ready to use when you’ve earned your reward.

Do I need the McDonald’s App to collect McCafé stamps?

Yes. you need the McDonald’s App to collect McCafé loyalty stamps and redeem your free hot drink.

How do I order to collect digital stamps?

Once you’ve downloaded and registered for the McDonald’s App, you can collect and redeem in the way that suits you.

  • Show your App QR code at the Front Counter.
  • Scan your App QR code at the Self Order Kiosk.
  • Scan your App QR code at the Drive Thru.

All you would need to do is download the app and register – once you’ve done that how you collect and redeem digitally is up to you.

What happens if I don’t have the McDonald’s App?

If you don’t have the App yet, there’s still time to download it and register. You can find it in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

What happens to my physical McCafé stickers?

You could continue to collect and use your physical stickers until the cup-based scheme ended on 30th September 2026. After the end date, physical stickers are no longer accepted.

What if I didn’t have enough physical stickers for a free drink?

Physical stickers can’t be used now that the cup-based scheme has ended. We gave customers notice so there was time to collect and use stickers before the changeover.

Can I collect stamps at the Drive Thru?

Yes. You’ll be able to collect and redeem McCafé stamps at the Drive Thru. Before arriving at Drive Thru, check your app for a unique code, which you can then give to the staff member at the Drive Thru when you arrive. Please do not use your mobile phone while driving.

Will I get a stamp if I buy a coffee as part of a meal?

Yes. If your meal includes an eligible McCafé hot drink, you’ll receive a digital stamp for it.

If I buy more than one coffee, do I get more than one stamp?

Yes. Each eligible McCafé hot drink in your order will count towards your digital stamps.

Do McCafé iced drinks count towards digital stamps?

No. McCafé digital stamps are for eligible hot drinks only, so iced drinks won’t count towards your stamp card.

Will I get a stamp when I redeem my free drink?

No. Digital stamps are earned when you buy eligible full-price McCafé hot drinks. You won’t receive a stamp when redeeming your free drink.

What can I order as my free drink?

You can order a regular of any of the following: Americano, Cappuccino, Espresso, Flat White, Latte, White Coffee, Hot Chocolate* or Tea as your free drink.

 

*Not available in all restauratunts.

Can I add McCafé loyalty stamps after payment is complete?

Unfortunately, stamps can’t be added after the transaction is complete; that’s why it’s important to remember to link your order to your account before making payment.

Is McCafé Loyalty available on delivery?

No, unfortunately at this stage delivery is not available on the McDonald’s app in Ireland and McCafé Loyalty is therefore only available on pick up orders.

I’ve purchased six coffees, when will I receive my free coffee?

Within 24 hours of the purchase of your sixth coffee, a digital stamp will appear on your Digital stamp card within the app.
