Your McCafé loyalty card is moving from cups to the McDonald’s App. Here’s what’s changing, what stays the same, and how you can keep collecting stamps towards your free hot drink.

McCafé Loyalty is our way of saying thanks to customers who love McDonald’s coffee. Buy eligible McCafé hot drinks, collect stamps, and enjoy a free hot drink when your card is complete.

No, McCafé Loyalty isn’t ending — it’s moving to the McDonald’s App. From 8 September, you’ll collect McCafé stamps digitally instead of collecting stickers from cups.

McCafé Loyalty will be fully digital from 30 September. Until then, you’ll have time to collect and use any physical stickers before the cup-based scheme ends.

Instead of keeping hold of paper stickers, your McCafé stamps will live in the McDonald’s App within the ‘Offers’ section. That means they’re all in one place, easy to track, and ready to use when you’ve earned your reward.

Yes. From 8 September, you’ll need the McDonald’s App to collect McCafé loyalty stamps and redeem your free hot drink.

Once you’ve downloaded and registered for the McDonald’s App, you can collect and redeem in the way that suits you.

• Show your App QR code at the Front Counter.
• Scan your App QR code at the Self Order Kiosk.
• Scan your App QR code at the Drive Thru.
  

All you would need to do is download the app and register – once you’ve done that how you collect and redeem digitally is up to you.

If you don’t have the App yet, there’s still time to download it and register. You can find it in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

You can continue to collect and use your physical stickers until the cup-based scheme ends. This will be on 30th September. After the end date, physical stickers won’t be accepted, so we recommend using any completed cards before then.

Physical stickers won’t be able to be used once the cup-based scheme has ended. We’re giving customers notice so there’s time to collect and use stickers before the changeover.

Yes. You’ll be able to collect and redeem McCafé stamps at the Drive Thru. Before arriving at Drive Thru, check your app for a unique code, which you can then give to the staff member at the Drive Thru when you arrive. Please do not use your mobile phone while driving.

Yes. If your meal includes an eligible McCafé hot drink, you’ll receive a digital stamp for it.

Yes. Each eligible McCafé hot drink in your order will count towards your digital stamps.

No. McCafé digital stamps are for eligible hot drinks only, so iced drinks won’t count towards your stamp card.

No. Digital stamps are earned when you buy eligible full-price McCafé hot drinks. You won’t receive a stamp when redeeming your free drink.

You can order a regular of any of the following: Americano, Cappuccino, Espresso, Flat White, Latte, White Coffee, Toffee Latte, Hot Chocolate or Tea as your free drink.

Unfortunately, stamps can’t be added after the transaction is complete; that’s why it’s important to remember to link your order to your account before making payment.

No, unfortunately at this stage delivery is not available on the McDonald’s app in Ireland and McCafé Loyalty is therefore only available on pick up orders.
