Thurgood Marshall College Fund

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund, named in honor of the first African American U.S. Supreme Court Justice, is a resource pioneer in the African American community providing scholarships and programs to 47 public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) and awarding more than $200 million in assistance to its students and schools.



UNCF, recognized for their motto “A mind is a terrible thing to waste,” empowers more than 60,000 students each year to attend college and pursue their career goals. UNCF also provides operating funds for its 38 small member colleges and serves as an advocate for education equality for all Americans.
