Asian Pacific American Community

McDonald’s APA Next

McDonald’s has remained committed to helping students pursue their educational dreams.

The McDonald’s/Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) Scholarship has directly supported 130 scholars and their families this year alone. With over half of the recipients living at or below the poverty line and over 70% being the first in their family to attend college, this scholarship has provided life-changing opportunities to so many in our communities.

But our story doesn’t start there. In 2003, McDonald’s and the Asian McDonald’s Operators Association helped establish APIA Scholars (formerly APIASF), the first organization dedicated to providing scholarships for underserved APIA students. In 2008, McDonald’s launched a national college workshop program to guide families through the admissions process, which has since grown into the free APA Next Summit featuring expert panelists and student leaders offering critical information and practical tips.

McDonald’s APA Next Education Program works in partnership with APIA Scholars to empower students with resources, opportunities and financial support. Come check out what McDonald’s APA Next program has to offer and decide what’s next for you
