Mickey D’s brought all the flavor to this year’s ESSENCE Festival®, presented by Coca-Cola®. Festivalgoers were treated to a stunning new booth experience at the Ernest Morial Convention Center. With personalized activities designed to ignite their inner goddess, the guests enjoyed a custom T-shirt station, the Goddess Reflections Selfie MiR, beautiful new goddess giveaways, and unique stage games hosted by award-winning actress and singer Demetria McKinney.

Baltimore DJ, Lil Mic rocked the crowd, along with guest DJs Bomshell Boogie, DimePiece, and Niena Drake. And the surprise appearances didn’t stop there. Author Enitan Bereola II and actors Bresha Webb and Tobias Truvillion gave their perspectives on love and relationships during the “His/Her” panel, while Lance Gross swung by to play the McDonald's Pyramid of Flavor game. Actress Alesha Reneè held down the conversation online and Carl Thomas, K. Michelle, and Raheem DeVaughn all brought down the house with amazing performances. Even our ESSENCE® Goddesses Kayla, Phoenix and Yvonne were in the building.

On Saturday, McDonald’s joined forces with ESSENCE to host the exclusive Midnight Mix late night party at Club XLIV in Champions Square, outside of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. DJ Drama held court in the DJ booth and the night concluded with a performance by Mack Wilds. VIP access, McRig Mobile Restaurant snacks, and more greeted attendees as they enjoyed a little MIA flavor in NOLA.

If this year’s festivities impressed you, don’t miss out on next year’s.
