Account Settings

How do I make updates to my account?

Launch the App and log in, if you are not already. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar. You can access your account by selecting "Profile" at the top of this page. From here, access and edit most of your account information under "Personal Settings." Be sure you select "Confirm Details" to save any changes made to your account details.

How do I change my password?

Launch the App and log in, if you are not already. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar. Select your profile name at the top of this page to access your account. Choose "Personal Settings." On the next screen, select "Change Password." Follow the prompted instructions on the "Change Password" screen to complete the desired action. Passwords must be 8-12 alphanumeric characters and must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one number. " Be sure you select "Confirm Details" to save any changes made to your account details.

How do I reset my password?

Launch the App and ensure you are logged out. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar. Select "Log In" and ensure that you are under the "Log In" tab. Select the "Forgot Password?" link and enter the email associated with your account before selecting "Reset Password." Locate the "Password Reset" email in your inbox and follow the instructions in the app for subsequent steps to complete the reset.  Passwords must be 8-12 alphanumeric characters and must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one number. " Be sure you select "Update" to save the changes made to your password.

Can I change the email address associated with my account?

You are not able to change the email address associated to your account at this time.

How do I turn on/off push notifications?

Launch the App and ensure you are logged in. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar and then "Profile." From here, select "Communications" and then "Push Notifications." Finally, select "Change My Settings" and switch the "Notifications" to On or Off. Alternatively, go to your device settings, locate the McDonald's App within your Application listings and switch the McDonald's "Notifications" to On or Off.

How do I unsubscribe from email notifications?

Unsubscribing from emails via the app is not available at this time. If you are receiving emails from a McDonald's franchise, then you will need to unsubscribe from them directly using the unsubscribe link on their emails. It may take up to 10 business days for your request to take effect. For push notifications, go to your device settings for notifications and switch the McDonald's notifications to off.

How do I turn location services on/off?

Go to your device settings, locate the McDonald's App within your Application listings and choose your "Location" preference.

How do I delete my account?

Launch the App. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar. Select the "Careers, Contact Us & Legal" section.  Select "Contact Us" and fill out the form. Be sure to include the email address for the account you want to delete in the comments section. You can also request account deletion by sending an email to contact.privacy@us.mcd.com; please include the account email address of the account you want to delete.

Deals

How many deals can be used at one time?

You can only redeem one deal per person, per visit. 

Why do some deals disappear and others don't?

New deals are added to the App regularly to give you a variety of choices and discounts! Deals are removed from the Deal screen once they expire or have been used. 

Can I add a McDonald's deal or promotion to my Mobile Order?

If a deal is available for redemption through Mobile Order & Pay, it will have an "Add Deal to Mobile Order" button below the code when accessing the deal in the McDonald's App. To redeem the deal, select the "Add Deal to Mobile Order"  button, and then customize the items in this order. Choose "Add to Order" to add the deal to your bag. 

General

Do I need internet connection to use the app?

To access exclusive deals and use Mobile Order & Pay, internet connection via WiFi or cellular data is required.

Where can I find information about product nutrition and ingredients?

To quickly access nutrition & ingredients information, select "More" on the bottom navigation bar, then select "Nutrition," and search for the desired food item within the categories provided. Once you locate the food item, select the product tile. You will find a short description of the product as well as a "Nutrition" tab and "Ingredient" tab. If you have already started your Mobile Order, select the product title of the food item and select the "Nutrition & Ingredients" section, if available.

How do I find a specific restaurant?

To find a restaurant, select "More" on the bottom navigation bar, then select "Location" Use the search bar and filter to locate a restaurant on the map. There is also an option to view stores by list upon from the store details or from the list icon.

McCafé® Rewards

How does the McCafé® Rewards program work?

You must be a registered McDonald's App user to participate in the McCafe Rewards program. Punches are earned for eligible purchases of McCafe drinks at participating restaurants. Once five punches are earned, you will receive a deal for a free McCafe drink, which can be found at the top of your Deals page and can be redeemed through Mobile Order & Pay or by scanning at a participating restaurant. You can claim your rewards in store by scanning your mobile rewards code at the register or by redeeming punches through the "Mobile Order Your McCafe" option within the App. 

Will I get McCafé® Rewards credit for eligible purchases made via mobile ordering?

Yes, you will automatically earn towards McCafe Rewards when you make eligible purchases of McCafe beverages using Mobile Order & Pay.

McDelivery®

How do I order McDelivery using my McDonald’s App?

Launch the McDonald’s App and log in, if you are not already. Select ‘Order’ from the bottom menu bar and switch from ‘Pickup’ to ‘McDelivery’. Once you have entered a valid delivery address, begin selecting all food items you wish to have included in your order. Once you have added all items to your bag, you will be taken to the Uber Eats App to complete checkout and pay for your order. If you are not already a registered Uber Eats App user you will be prompted to download/register the App during checkout.

What is Uber Eats and why do I need it for McDelivery?

Uber Eats, Uber's food delivery App, makes ordering food as easy as requesting a ride. McDonald’s has partnered with Uber Eats to get food delivered to hungry customers, allowing you to track your order, customize your drop off location, and use the same account you use to take rides.

In order to complete and pay for your McDelivery order, Uber Eats requires you to login to their system. Once your McDonald’s account is linked to your Uber Eats account, you won’t have to download or log in again for future McDelivery orders unless you delete the Uber Eats App.

How do I know if McDelivery is available to my address?

Launch the McDonald’s App and log in, if you are not already. Select ‘Order’ from the bottom menu bar and switch from ‘Pickup’ to ‘McDelivery’. Enter your desired delivery address and you will be notified if McDelivery is available to you.

How do I know what items are available for McDelivery?

Menu items will vary by location. For food item availability please select McDelivery in the McDonald’s App and view items by selecting ‘Order’ on the bottom menu bar.

Can I add a McDonald's deal to my McDelivery Order?

No, Deals are not available for McDelivery yet. Deals are still eligible for Mobile Order & Pay or by scanning at a participating restaurant.

Will I get McCafé Rewards credit for eligible purchases made via McDelivery?

Yes, you will automatically earn towards McCafé Rewards when you make eligible purchases of McCafe beverages using McDelivery.

How do I report a problem with my McDonald’s McDelivery order?

In order to investigate any issue with a McDelivery order (wrong delivery address, incorrect items, etc.) and take appropriate steps, we suggest that you contact Uber Eats customer service directly through the Uber Eats App.

Mobile Ordering

How do I know which restaurants are participating in Mobile Ordering?

Make sure you turn on location services so that we can show you all of the available features in the McDonald's App. Mobile Order & Pay will appear in the McDonald's App as a feature when you're within 5 miles of a McDonald's restaurant that offers Mobile Order & Pay.

Within the location map, after selecting a restaurant icon, selecting the white detail box will also indicate if Mobile Order & Pay is available at a particular location. If the restaurant is participating, "Order Here" will appear in  black letters at the bottom of the detail page, allowing you to select it and begin the order. If not, "Order Here" will appear muted out, indicating that Mobile Order & Pay is not enabled at that location.

How do I complete and pick up my order?

You can complete and pick up your McDonald's order at any participating restaurant. When you arrive at the McDonald's restaurant, you need to check in and choose how you want to pick up your order: pick up curbside, inside the restaurant, or drive-thru. These options may vary by restaurant and time of day. When you check in with your preferred pick-up method at the restaurant, your mobile order is completed, and the restaurant charges your registered payment card. Remember, never use the McDonald's App while driving! Only check in when you are safely stopped at a McDonald's restaurant, and make sure your location services settings are turned on.

What if I was charged for a product that is not available?

The App will label products that are currently unavailable for specific locations to prevent you from ordering those products. If you attempt to reorder an item that contains multiple products, where one or more of the products is unavailable, you will get a window pop-up with an error message.

Payment

What forms of payment are accepted?

You can register Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Payment cards registered must be issued by a U.S. bank. If you have an iOS device, and your card is registered to your Apple Wallet,  Apple Pay will automatically display as a payment option within the McDonald's App.

Can I add an Arch Card® as a payment method?

You cannot register an Arch Card for payment of mobile orders at this time.

How do I add, remove, or edit payment information?

You can add or remove a card from the Checkout and My Account screens; we do not allow editing of card information at this time. Follow the prompts on the screen, complete the required fields within the payment form and choose 'Save' to add a new card. To remove a card  on iOS, swipe left. To remove a card on Android, press and hold until the "Remove" option appears.

What if I have an issue with a payment or want a refund?

Please contact your bank if you have any questions about charges reflected on your payment card statement or to dispute a restaurant transaction for a charge on your payment card. Your bank can advise you on your bank policy and can tell you their policy on when they release pending charges. For additional information refer to our McDonald’s app terms and conditions.

What should I do if I suspect fraudulent activity on my account?

If you believe incorrect or unauthorized charges appear on your account, you should immediately contact your bank. You should also immediately update your password. Security experts recommend that individuals use good password complexity and different user name and password combinations for each account.

Registration/Login

Why are you collecting my email address?

Having a confirmed identity allows McDonald's to serve you as a customer better and helps to protect against fraudulent activity. If you are signed up to receive emails, we will also use your email address to communicate with you regarding the App, promotions we're running, charity or philanthropy events we're hosting and changes to food preparation.

What if my first name or last name has any special characters?

The App will now allow customers to include special characters as part of their name (first and last) for both registration and profile update.
