How Do I Make Updates to My Account?

  1. Launch the app and log in, if you are not already. 
  2. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar. 
  3. You can access your account by selecting "Profile" at the top of this page. 
  4. From here, access and edit most of your account information under "Personal Settings." 
  5. Be sure you select "Confirm Details" to save any changes made to your account details.

Can I Change the Email Address Associated with My Account?

You are not able to change the email address associated to your account in the McDonald’s app at this time.

How Do I Turn On/Off Push Notifications?

Turn on push notifications to be notified for updates on your order progress. Plus, get alerts about app-exclusive deals, bonus deals and special product announcements.

  1. Launch the McDonald's app and ensure you are logged in.
  2. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar and then "Profile."
  3. From here, select "Communications" and then "Push Notifications."
  4. Finally, select "Change My Settings" and switch the "Notifications" to On or Off.
  5. Alternatively, go to your device settings, locate the McDonald's app within your Application listings and switch the McDonald's "Notifications" to On or Off.

How Do I Unsubscribe from Email Notifications?

Unsubscribing from emails via the app is not available at this time. If you are receiving emails from a McDonald's franchise, then you will need to unsubscribe from them directly using the unsubscribe link on their emails. It may take up to 10 business days for your request to take effect. For push notifications, go to your device settings for notifications and switch the McDonald's notifications to off.

How Do I Turn Location Services On/Off?

Turn on your location services to find the restaurant closest to you, find out which deals are near you and get the best McDonald’s app experience.

  1. Go to your device settings.
  2. Locate the McDonald's app within your Application listings
  3. Choose your "Location" preference

How Do I Delete My Account?

  1. Launch the McDonald’s app.
  2. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select the "Profile" Topic.
  4. Select "Delete account."
  5. Select “Delete account” on the next screen to confirm you want to delete your account—please note that deleting your account is permanent and means that you will lose access to points, rewards and deals.
  6. You can also request account deletion by completing the form on the CCPA Rights Center.


How Many Deals Can Be Used at One Time?

You can only redeem one deal per person, per visit. 

Why Do Some Deals Disappear and Others Don't?

New deals are added to the McDonald's app regularly to give you a variety of choices and discounts! Deals are removed from the Deal screen once they expire or have been used.

Can I Add a McDonald's Deal or Promotion to my Mobile Order?

If a deal is available for redemption through Mobile Order & Pay, it will have an "Add Deal to Mobile Order" button below the code when accessing the deal in the McDonald's App. To redeem the deal, select the "Add Deal to Mobile Order" button, and then customize the items in this order. Choose "Add to Order" to add the deal to your bag.

Do I Need Internet Connection to Use the App?

To access exclusive deals and use Mobile Order & Pay, internet connection via Wi-Fi or cellular data is required.

Where Can I Find Information about Product Nutrition and Ingredients?

To quickly access nutrition & ingredients information,

  1. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar, then select "Nutrition," and search for the desired food item within the categories provided.
  2. Once you locate the food item, select the product tile. You will find a short description of the product as well as a "Nutrition" tab and "Ingredient" tab.
  3. If you have already started your Mobile Order, select the product title of the food item and select the "Nutrition & Ingredients" section, if available.

How Do I Find a Specific Restaurant?

To find a restaurant,

  1. Select "More" on the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Then select "Location".  
  3. Use the search bar and filter to locate a restaurant on the map. 
  4. There is also an option to view stores by list upon from the store details or from the list icon.

How Do I Turn On Push Notifications?

  1. Open the “More” tab in the McDonald’s app. 
  2. Go to Profile > Communications > Push Notifications > Change My Settings. 
  3. Proceed to App Settings and toggle “Allow Notifications” on.

Can I access the McDonald’s app using my smartwatch?

The McDonald's app is not currently compatible with smartwatches.

MyMcDonald’s Rewards

What Do I Have to Do to Earn Points?

Earning rewards points is very easy, simply download our app and agree to participate in MyMcDonald’s Rewards. Present the 4-digit code before ordering, or get points automatically when you order in the app.

How Much Are Points Worth?

For every dollar you spend on eligible products, you will receive 100 points. You can start redeeming your MyMcDonald's Rewards when you have 1500 points.

Do My Points Expire?

Unfortunately, nothing can last forever. Your points will expire on the first day of the month after the sixth month from the day your points were earned. Plenty of time to save up for your favorite!

Can I Get More Than One Reward at a Time?

At this time, you are limited to redeeming one reward per order.

Can I Share My Points?

Your MyMcDonald's Rewards points are yours alone. Once you have your food it’s up to you if you want to share!

How Do I Redeem Points for Free McDonald’s?

You can redeem with contactless mobile ordering in the McDonald's app by selecting Rewards, choosing the favorite you want to redeem and choosing “Add to Mobile Order”. To redeem in store or Drive Thru, select rewards and choose the item you want to redeem, then choose “Use at Restaurant” to get the 4-digit code you can provide the crew before you start ordering. For delivery orders placed using the McDonald’s app, select your reward item and add that to your McDelivery order. Rewards cannot be redeemed for delivery orders placed with a third party operator such as DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Can I Redeem a Reward and Earn Points in the Same Order?

Yes! You earn points on every eligible purchase, so if you’re redeeming a reward and ordering more food in addition to that, you will still earn 100 points for every dollar you spend.

What If I Forgot to Provide My Code?

If you’re enjoying your order and suddenly realized you never provided your code, no worries! Take these steps to contact us in the app:

  1. Select More in the bottom navigation
  2. Select Add Missing Points from Receipt
  3. Select Enter Receipt Details
  4. Provide the restaurant number from where your order was placed, the date of your visit, the time of your visit, your order number and your order total. All of this information can be found on your receipt.
  5. Select Submit

I Just Made a Purchase and My Points Aren’t There—Can You Help?

Of course, we’d be glad to help you. The first step is wait 24 hours, sometimes it takes a little time for MyMcDonald's Rewards points to appear in the app. If after 24 hours you still don’t have points, here are the steps for you to contact us in the app:

  1. Select More
  2. Choose Careers, Contact & Legal
  3. Select Contact Us
  4. Enter your comments regarding your order, including your account email, order number, subtotal, and if there’s any reason you think you might be missing points (example: forgot to scan)

Do I have to Provide Two Codes If I Want to Redeem a Reward or Deal and Earn Points in the Same Transaction?

No, you only need to provide one code. When redeeming, provide the 4-digit reward code (found on the Rewards tab)—this will help you redeem your free item while also earning points for products you are purchasing. The same is true for a deal, use the 4-digit deal code to save and you will automatically earn points for products you purchase in that transaction.

Are There Any Purchases That Don’t Qualify for Points?

Qualifying purchases where an active reward, mobile offer or promotional offer is redeemed will earn points, but you will only earn points for U.S. dollars actually spent in the transaction. When a McDonald's Arch card is used to make a qualifying purchase, you will earn points. The following are not considered qualifying purchases and will not earn any points:

  1. taxes, bags and bottle fees, and other surcharges or fees,
  2. loading any money on a McDonald's Arch Card® (gift card)
  3. delivery fees for orders placed using the McDonald’s app

I Lost My Phone! Did I Lose My Points?

We’re sorry about your phone! Contact your service provider and once you have a new phone your MyMcDonald's Rewards should still be waiting for you when you log in to our app.

How Do I Order McDelivery Using My McDonald’s App?

  1. Launch the McDonald’s app and log in, if you are not already. 
  2. Select ‘Order’ from the bottom menu bar and switch from ‘Pickup’ to ‘McDelivery’. 
  3. Once you have entered a valid delivery address, begin selecting all food items you wish to have included in your order.
  4. Once you have added all items to your bag, you will be taken to the Uber Eats App to complete checkout and pay for your order.
  5. If you are not already a registered Uber Eats App user you will be prompted to download/register the App during checkout.

What Is Uber Eats ?

Uber Eats is the platform that makes ordering food on the app as simple as requesting a ride with Uber. You can order your favorite foods with McDelivery® on Uber Eats.

What is DoorDash?

DoorDash is a technology company that connects customers with their favorite local and national businesses in more than 4,000 cities and all 50 states across the United States, Canada and Australia. You can get McDonald’s delivery on DoorDash through McDelivery®!

How Do I Know if McDelivery Is Available to My Address?

  1. Launch the McDonald’s app and log in, if you are not already. 
  2. Select ‘Order’ from the bottom menu bar and switch from ‘Pickup’ to ‘McDelivery’. 
  3. Enter your desired delivery address and you will be notified if McDelivery is available to you.

How Do I Know What Items Are Available for McDelivery?

Menu items will vary by location. For food item availability please select McDelivery in the McDonald’s app and view items by selecting ‘Order’ on the bottom menu bar.

Are deals available while using the McDonald’s app for McDelivery?

Some deals are available when ordering McDelivery in the McDonald’s app depending on the participating restaurant or offer timing.

Can I redeem MyMcDonald’s Rewards when ordering McDelivery?

Yup! MyMcDonald’s Rewards can be redeemed on delivery orders. Simply select the reward you wish to redeem and select “Add to McDelivery order.”  

How Do I Report a Problem with My McDonald’s McDelivery Order?

To report and resolve any issues, first identify who was handling your delivery—Uber Eats or DoorDash. Check the bottom of the receipt in your email to find out the vendor.

Mobile Ordering

How Do I Know Which Restaurants Are Participating in Mobile Ordering?

If you turn on location services, Mobile Order & Pay will appear in the McDonald's app as a feature when you're within 5 miles of a McDonald's restaurant that offers Mobile Order & Pay.

Within the location map, after selecting a restaurant icon, selecting the white detail box will also indicate if Mobile Order & Pay is available at a particular location. If the restaurant is participating, "Order Here" will appear in black letters at the bottom of the detail page, allowing you to select it and begin the order. If not, "Order Here" will appear muted out, indicating that Mobile Order & Pay is not enabled at that location.

How Do I Complete and Pick Up My Order?

You can complete and pick up your McDonald's order at any participating restaurant listed in the app. When you arrive at the McDonald's restaurant you selected, follow the instructions in the app specific to your chosen pickup method: Curbside, Front Counter, Table Service, or Drive-Thru. These options may vary by restaurant and time of day. When you place your order in the app, your order is completed and the restaurant charges your registered payment card. Remember, never use the McDonald's app while driving! Order in the app safely and come to the selected McDonald's restaurant. Once you arrive, enter your Curbside spot or table number in the app. If you're picking up at front counter, simply head to the counter and if picking up at the Drive Thru, you’ll receive a code to provide when you arrive at your selected McDonald’s.

How Do I Save My Favorites for Easy Ordering?

  1. Select your favorite menu item or items. 
  2. Customize the ingredients to your preference. 
  3. Tap the star in the upper-left to save as a favorite.

What If I Was Charged for a Product That Is Not Available?

The McDonald's app will label products that are currently unavailable for specific locations to prevent you from ordering those products. If you attempt to reorder an item that contains multiple products, where one or more of the products is unavailable, you will need to remove the unavailable product(s) before your order can be completed.


What Forms of Payment Are Accepted?

You can register Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards in the app. Payment cards registered must be issued by a U.S. bank. If you have an iOS device, and your card is registered to your Apple Wallet, Apple Pay will automatically display as a payment option within the McDonald’s app. If you have registered a card to the Google Pay™ app on your Android, you can select Google Pay™ as a payment method in the McDonald’s app. Payments with PayPal and Venmo are also available with Mobile Order & Pay.

Can I Add an Arch Card® as a Payment Method?

You cannot register an Arch Card for payment of mobile orders at this time.

How Do I Add or Remove a Payment Method?

To add a payment method,

  1. Open the “More” tab in the McDonald’s App. 
  2. Go to Profile > Payment Methods. 
  3. Add or remove your payment details and save.

What If I Have an Issue with Mobile Order & Pay or Want a Refund?

If you experienced an issue with Mobile Order & Pay (excluding delivery), or are requesting a refund, please return to or contact the restaurant at which you made your purchase.

If you placed a McDonald’s app delivery order, first, check the Vendor Name to identify whether Uber Eats or DoorDash was handling your order, and please contact Uber Eats at: 1-866-987-3744 or DoorDash at: 1-833-510-0332. Orders placed via Uber Eats, DoorDash, GrubHub or Postmates directly should be addressed with those delivery partners for resolution.

What Should I Do If I Suspect Fraudulent Activity on My Account?

If you believe incorrect or unauthorized charges appear on your account, you should immediately contact your bank. You should also immediately update your password. Security experts recommend that individuals use good password complexity and different user name and password combinations for each account.


Why Are You Collecting My Email Address?

Having a confirmed identity allows McDonald's to serve you as a customer better and helps to protect against fraudulent activity. If you are signed up to receive emails, we will also use your email address to communicate with you regarding the McDonald’s app, promotions we're running, charity or philanthropy events we're hosting and changes to food preparation.

What If My First Name or Last Name Has Any Special Characters?

The McDonald’s app now allows customers to include special characters as part of their name (first and last) for both registration and profile update.
