What forms of payment are accepted?
You can register Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards in the app. Payment cards registered must be issued by a U.S. bank. If you have an iOS device, and your card is registered to your Apple Wallet, Apple Pay will automatically display as a payment option within the McDonald’s app. If you have registered a card to the Google Pay™ app on your Android, you can select Google Pay™ as a payment method in the McDonald’s app. Payments with PayPal and Venmo are also available with Mobile Order & Pay. Now you can also pay for mobile pickup orders using your Arch Card® Balance in the app, only after uploading funds from your physical Arch Cards or debit/credits cards.
Can I add an Arch Card as a payment method for mobile orders?
Yes, you can now upload funds from a physical Arch Card to your Arch Card Balance in the McDonald’s app to order ahead for pickup using Mobile Order & Pay. Excludes McDelivery®.
Why aren't my funds loaded in the McDonald's app?
Most funds appear shortly after being added. If your Arch Card Balance has not updated, confirm the transaction was completed and refresh the app. If the issue persists, please visit McDonald's Feedback or contact Customer Care at 1-800-244-6227.
Can I split my payment between Arch Card Balance and another method?
Split payment is not supported at this time. If your Arch Card Balance is less than your order total, you may need to add more funds or use another payment method.
Why was my Arch Card Balance payment declined?
Common reasons include insufficient balance, reload payment issues or temporary technical disruption. Refresh app and confirm balance.
How do I add, remove or edit payment information in the McDonald’s app?
You can add or remove a card from the Checkout and My Account screens; we do not allow editing of card information at this time. Follow the prompts on the screen, complete the required fields within the payment form and choose 'Save' to add a new card. To remove a card on iOS, swipe left. To remove a card on Android, press and hold until the "Remove" option appears. You may also upload funds from a physical Arch Card or other payment methods to your Arch Card Balance to begin paying for pickup orders using Mobile Order & Pay in the app.
