CIO and Vice President, U.S. Technology
Michelle is a strategic and top-performing technology executive and corporate officer with experience in global software development and implementations, technology and business operations, multi-country and multi-site technology delivery centers, in addition to having a diverse business background with expertise in logistics, distribution, retail operations and portfolio management. As McDonald’s U.S. CIO, Michelle has end-to-end responsibility for the strategy, development and execution of all technology products and services to 14,000 U.S. restaurants. This is inclusive of customer-facing technologies (Kiosks, McDonald’s Mobile App, Digital Menu Boards, etc.), to back-office applications for scheduling, timekeeping, inventory, crew training and ID management, to enabling business drivers with cross functional partners in marketing, supply chain, HR and operations. In her role, Michelle partners closely with the McDonald’s senior leadership team and McDonald’s franchise owner/operators to deliver technology in support of sales and guest count growth.
Michelle joined McDonald’s in 2018 as Vice President, U.S. Operations. In this role, she was instrumental in standing up a cross functional governance team to manage the number of initiatives being deployed to U.S. restaurants to minimize unnecessary restaurant impact and allow better focus on critical business drivers. Prior to joining McDonald’s, Michelle spent 11 years at Walmart in a variety of roles leading strategic initiatives, sponsoring complex global IT transformational programs, delivering innovation, and driving organizational change.
Michelle graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and a Masters in Organizational Management. Michelle and her family recently relocated to Elmhurst, IL and enjoy playing and watching soccer together.
